Currently, Austal has a staggering $10 billion production backlog, which includes 12 new construction programs under contract and nine surface ships actively in production. Charlotte Poole, an A-class fit-out tradesman, expresses her dedication to her work, stating, “I may have family that goes on these ships serving our country, and I want to do the best that I can do.” She highlights the opportunities for advancement within the company, encouraging others to join and excel in their roles.

Austal USA is also recognized for its commitment to safety. Over its 25-year history, the company has received 27 national industry safety awards. This dedication to safety not only protects employees but also fosters a culture of care and responsibility.
