Rem Offshore Secures PSV Contract in North Sea
Norwegian offshore vessel operator Rem Offshore has landed a significant contract with Eni in the UK North Sea. The contract involves the use of the PSV Rem Supplier, a vessel built in 2011, which has been fixed for approximately 300 days. This deal marks a notable expansion of Rem Offshore’s operations in the region.
Details of the Contract
The Rem Supplier will provide support to the jackup rig Valaris Norway during a two-well campaign set to commence in March. This contract not only includes the initial 300-day commitment but also offers two additional one-well options, potentially extending the total duration to 600 days. This arrangement highlights the growing demand for offshore support vessels in the North Sea, particularly as energy companies ramp up exploration and production activities.
Rem Offshore operates a diverse fleet, consisting of 12 platform supply vessels (PSVs) alongside units dedicated to wind service operations and oil and gas construction support. The company currently has four additional vessels under construction, indicating a proactive approach to meeting the evolving needs of the offshore energy sector. With this new contract, Rem Offshore reinforces its position as a key player in the offshore support market, catering to the increasing operational requirements of major energy firms like Eni.
This contract not only strengthens Rem Offshore’s portfolio but also underscores the importance of reliable support vessels in offshore operations. As the energy landscape continues to evolve, partnerships like this are crucial for ensuring efficient and effective resource extraction in challenging marine environments.
