EnerMech wins two-year deal at BP Trinidad and Tobago
EnerMech Secures Two-Year BP Contract Extension

EnerMech, a UK-based oilfield services company, has successfully secured a two-year extension for its contract with BP Trinidad and Tobago. This extension will see EnerMech continue its offshore crane operations across 12 platforms in the Caribbean. The partnership, which began in 2022, encompasses a range of services including crane operations, maintenance, and onshore technical support.
Contract Details and Workforce Impact
The renewed contract with BP Trinidad and Tobago involves comprehensive crane operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, and minor modifications to the existing infrastructure. Additionally, EnerMech will provide offshore auditing services to ensure compliance and efficiency. The onshore support team will focus on technical planning and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) functions, reinforcing the operational backbone of the project.
Approximately 30 nationals from Trinidad and Tobago will be employed under this contract, filling various roles from crane operators to supervisors and logistics support staff. This local workforce engagement not only enhances operational efficiency but also contributes to the local economy by providing jobs and training opportunities.
This contract extension is part of EnerMech’s broader growth strategy, which recently included securing a three-year support contract for the Dana Petroleum Triton Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit in the North Sea. This contract also includes options for two additional two-year extensions, highlighting EnerMech’s expanding footprint in the oil and gas sector.
