Sallaum Lines Welcomes New Eco-Friendly Vessel
Sallaum Lines has announced the delivery of the MV Ocean Legacy, the latest addition to its Ocean Class fleet. This new Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) arrives just a month after the MV Ocean Explorer was put into service, highlighting the company’s commitment to modernizing its fleet. The introduction of this next-generation vessel emphasizes Sallaum Lines’ strategic focus on enhancing efficiency and minimizing environmental impact in maritime operations.
Innovative Design and Sustainability Features
The MV Ocean Legacy was constructed at the China Merchants Jinling Shipyard in Jiangsu and boasts impressive dimensions, measuring approximately 199.90 meters in length and 37.7 meters in breadth. This vessel has the capacity to carry 7,400 vehicles across 13 cargo decks. Notably, it is equipped with a liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage capacity of 36 to 37.8 tons, which allows for extended voyages while significantly reducing emissions.
