Engine Issues Disrupt Service for Ferry ‘Argyle’
The ferry ‘Argyle’, which operates between Wemyss Bay and Rothesay, faced multiple technical issues in February that disrupted its service. On February 27, the vessel encountered a problem with its engine, leading to the cancellation of several scheduled departures. The affected sailings included those leaving Rothesay at 11:00 a.m. and 1:05 p.m., as well as those from Wemyss Bay at 12:15 p.m. and 2:05 p.m. The ferry company decided to cancel these trips to investigate and resolve the engine issue. After completing the necessary repairs, the service resumed with the 1:05 p.m. departure from Rothesay and the 2:05 p.m. departure from Wemyss Bay.
