HD Hyundai will be showcasing its prowess in the gas industry with an integrated booth featuring HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HDKSOE), HD Hyundai Marine Solution, and HD Hyundai Electric. The company will spotlight five model types, including LNG carriers, FSRUs, VLGCs, LNG bunkering vessels, and LCO2 carriers. Additionally, researchers from HDKSOE will delve into topics such as hydrogen maritime transportation, ammonia safety, and physics-based digital twins.
Hanwha Ocean’s Carbon-Free LNG Carrier
Hanwha Ocean is set to unveil a model of a 174,000-cubic-meter-class carbon-free LNG carrier, powered by an innovative ammonia gas turbine propulsion system. This vessel represents a significant leap towards fully carbon-free technology, eliminating the need for pilot oil ignition.
Samsung Heavy Industries’ Future Energy Solutions
Samsung Heavy Industries will be focusing on next-generation LNG value-chain technologies, particularly FLNGs, aimed at securing a strong foothold in the future energy transportation market.
