BMA invited to address Guangdong Shipowners on Safety Management Training
The Bahamas Maritime Authority (BMA) recently took part in the Guangdong Shipowners Seminar, which focused on “Safety Management Training.” This event, held on November 7 and 8, 2024, was organized in partnership with the China Classification Society (CCS). The BMA was honored to be part of this important seminar, marking its first participation.
Capt. Jahangir Hussain, the Regional Director for Asia at BMA, represented the organization and delivered a formal presentation at the event. He later answered questions from the audience in a Q&A session, providing valuable insights into The Bahamas Maritime Registry’s quality and standards.
The seminar is an annual event that attracts over 200 participants from all parts of the shipping industry. This year, it was especially significant for the BMA as it was their debut participation. Capt. Hussain’s presentation, titled “The Bahamas Registry’s Quality and Standards,” was an exciting opportunity to introduce The Bahamas Registry to the attendees. The participants welcomed The Bahamas’ involvement, showing great interest and enthusiasm.
