Bureau Veritas Acquires SPIN360 to Enhance Sustainable Solutions in Fashion and Luxury Sectors

Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification services, has announced its acquisition of SPIN360, an esteemed Italian consulting firm known for its expertise in sustainable innovation within the premium fashion and luxury markets. This strategic move is part of Bureau Veritas’ LEAP | 28 initiative, aimed at strengthening its position in the Consumer Product Services (CPS) sector and accelerating growth in key regions, particularly Italy.
The acquisition is expected to create significant value by integrating SPIN360’s proprietary Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tools and data-driven advisory services with Bureau Veritas’ established certification and supply chain auditing capabilities. This combination will not only enhance Bureau Veritas’ service offerings but also position the company as a global center of excellence for sustainability in the premium fashion and luxury industries.

SPIN360: A Leader in Sustainable Consulting

Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Milan, SPIN360 specializes in providing technical advisory services that encompass a wide range of sustainability metrics. These include Life Cycle Assessment, life cycle costing, environmental product declarations, carbon footprint analysis, supply chain engagement, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting. The firm employs approximately 30 skilled professionals and caters to a diverse clientele, including fashion and luxury brands, tanneries, and companies in the material, softline, and footwear sectors. In 2024, SPIN360 reported revenues of around €4 million.
Hinda Gharbi, Chief Executive Officer of Bureau Veritas, emphasized the strategic importance of this acquisition, stating, “This acquisition is in line with our LEAP | 28 strategy to focus our portfolio and to help businesses navigate the complexity of sustainable transformation.” Gharbi further expressed the company’s ambition to become the preferred partner for premium fashion and luxury brands seeking integrated compliance and sustainability solutions.
