Ferry Service Disruptions Impact Local Routes

On April 19, the ferry ‘Chieftain’, which operates the Gourock-Dunoon route, faced a significant technical issue that affected its propeller and fire detection systems. This incident led to the temporary removal of the ‘Chieftain’ from service, as it was sent to Greenock for repairs. Consequently, the ‘Argyll Flyer‘ had to implement a single vessel timetable until April 24 to accommodate affected passengers. Meanwhile, the ‘Ali Cat’ continued to operate on the Gourock-Kilcreggan route without changes to its schedule.
