China’s NovaAlgoma Orders Eco-Friendly Cement Carrier

NovaAlgoma Cement Carriers has announced a significant order for a 38,000-ton methanol dual-fuel pneumatic cement carrier from Zhejiang Xinle Shipbuilding, set for delivery in 2027. This vessel will be chartered under a long-term agreement with Holcim, marking a pivotal step towards greener shipping practices. The carrier will feature advanced technologies, including an air lubricating system and a waste heat recovery system designed to enhance energy efficiency.

Innovative Features for Sustainable Shipping
