CIMC SOE Delivers SPP40 Platform Supply Vessel and 24,000 cbm LEG Carrier

Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (CIMC SOE) recently made significant deliveries to CDB Financial Leasing, SPEC, and Petredec. The SPP40 platform supply vessel S1098 and the 24,000 cbm LEG carrier S1108 were successfully handed over to their respective owners on September 28 and 29.

SPP40 Platform Supply Vessel S1098 Unveiled

The S1098 marks the fourth vessel in the SPP40 series of offshore platform supply vessels. With an impressive overall length of 81.75 meters, a beam of 17.40 meters, and a depth of 7.8 meters, it boasts a deadweight of 4,000 tons. This vessel, classified by Bureau Veritas (BV), features a cutting-edge diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system. Equipped with two tunnel bow thrusters and two azimuth thrusters, the S1098 is designed for efficiency and versatility. It includes advanced features such as DP2 dynamic positioning, Class 1 external fire-fighting, and offshore oil spill cleanup capabilities. Moreover, it meets Level 3 standards for vibration and noise comfort, ensuring a smooth and quiet operation. With an expansive 800-square-meter deck, the S1098 can efficiently transport a variety of supplies, making it a highly functional offshore support vessel.

24,000 cbm LEG Carrier S1108 Sets Sail

The S1108 LEG carrier, the second vessel of its kind built for Petredec by CIMC SOE, showcases exceptional design and construction. Independently developed and designed, this vessel adheres to stringent standards set by Bureau Veritas. Featuring a Type C bilobe tank structure, the S1108 emphasizes safety and efficiency in cargo containment and handling. By optimizing the hull line and layout, the vessel maximizes cargo capacity without compromising operational efficiency. The S1108 is equipped with a high-performance main engine and eco-friendly equipment like scrubbers and shaft generators to reduce pollutant emissions and fuel consumption significantly.
