Delivery of the 1600T Wind Power Installation Platform “HENG TONG HAI YUE”
New 1600T Mobile Wind Power Installation Platform "Hengtong Haiyue" Delivered in Nantong
“Hengtong Haiyue,” a 1600T mobile wind power installation platform, was recently presented during a ceremony at Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry Co., Ltd.’s Nantong Branch in Tongzhou Bay. Leading industry players attended the event, including representatives from China Classification Society (CCS), Bestway Marine & Energy Technology Co., Ltd., and Hengtong Group. Attendees included representatives from a number of management and maritime organisations, highlighting the platform’s importance in expanding offshore wind generation potential.
Constructed for the Hengtong Group, “Hengtong Haiyue” is a novel type of offshore wind power building facility, built by Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. The platform can operate at sea depths of up to 70 meters thanks to its 1600T full-circle slewing crane, 4,000m² deck, and cutting-edge technologies including electric propulsion and DP2 positioning. The platform, which can accommodate wind turbines up to 20 MW in power, is intended to improve safety and efficiency in offshore wind projects, especially those that take place in deep-sea conditions. In its efforts to increase its market share worldwide, China’s offshore wind power sector has made a substantial advancement with this.

Throughout the platform’s construction, the CCS Marine Engineering Technology Center played a crucial role by providing comprehensive technical support, including drawing reviews and process guidance. CCS Jiangsu Branch also worked closely with the shipyards and shipowners to ensure the platform’s successful delivery, despite the challenges posed by changes in construction and assembly sites.
