DNV and RACS sign collaboration agreement to provide emirates conformity assessment scheme
DNV has signed a collaboration agreement with RACS Quality Certificates Issuing Services
DNV can now offer the Emirates Conformity Assessment Scheme (ECAS) and seamless access to ATEX / IECEx certification through a single application. This will expedite the certification process, helping clients achieve compliance more efficiently.
ECAS is a product certification scheme mandated by UAE Federal Law 28 of 2001, requiring all regulated products to meet safety and quality standards. Suppliers must register products and obtain a Certificate of Conformity to sell in the UAE.
ATEX certification ensures products operate safely in explosive environments within the EU. IECEx certification confirms products are safe for hazardous environments globally.

The key difference is geographical: ATEX is mandatory in the EU, while IECEx is recognized worldwide.
