DOF vessel duo get work off Brazil

DOF Secures Key Contracts in Brazil's Offshore Sector

Norwegian offshore vessel operator DOF has made significant strides in the Brazilian market by securing contracts for two of its vessels. The diving support vessel Skandi Achiever will begin operations in May 2025, focusing on a SURF project. Additionally, the Skandi Salvador, a multi-purpose support vessel, has extended its charter with Subsea 7 until July 2025.

Details of the Contracts

The Skandi Achiever, launched in 2007, has been awarded a contract for offshore services and surveys in support of a Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines (SURF) project. This undertaking marks a significant commitment, with operations set to initiate in early May 2025 and will include three distinct campaign phases throughout the year.

In addition to this new contract, DOF has successfully negotiated an extension for the Skandi Salvador. This 2009-built multi-purpose support vessel will continue its collaboration with Subsea 7, as part of the ongoing SURF projects in Brazil. The extension, which lasts until July 2025, includes provisions for additional options, ensuring that both parties can adapt to future requirements and opportunities in the region.

These recent agreements underscore DOF’s strategic positioning in the Brazilian offshore sector, highlighting the company’s ability to secure long-term contracts in a competitive market. As the offshore industry continues to evolve, DOF aims to leverage these partnerships to expand its footprint and enhance service delivery in Brazil.
