French Naval Group, Nibe Limited forge strategic partnership for India’s naval
In a significant development for the naval industry, Indian Nibe Group and French Naval Group have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in various technological areas related to modern Naval technologies. The MoU sets a formal framework for collaboration in Shipbuilding, Defence Platforms, and autonomous systems, including underwater drones, mine countermeasure vessels, underwater Submarine systems, naval weapon launching systems, and their maintenance.
Strengthening India’s Self-Reliance
The agreement between Naval Group and Nibe Group aims to strengthen India’s self-reliance in naval programs under the flagship Atmanirbhar Bharat Initiative. Both companies will work together on expertise areas such as underwater drones integration onboard submarines, future weapon-ready modular launching systems, mine countermeasure systems, and engineering.

With Naval Group’s longstanding presence in India and established industrial partnerships, the new partnership with Nibe Group is set to enhance both companies’ combined value proposition and technological offering in support of the Indian Navy.
