GRSE Inks MoU with DNV in Germany to Boost Advanced Shipbuilding,
In a strategic move aimed at boosting its global competitiveness and technical expertise, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) Ltd., based in Kolkata and a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking under India’s Ministry of Defence, has entered into a partnership with Det Norske Veritas (DNV), a maritime organization headquartered in Norway.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two entities was formalized on September 2, 2026, during the prestigious SMM Hamburg Maritime Trade Fair in Germany, a prominent international event in the maritime industry. This collaboration brings together GRSE’s extensive experience in marine engineering, warship design, and construction with DNV’s global leadership in technical assurance, certification, sustainability, digitalization, and maritime advisory services.
Focus on Advanced Shipbuilding and Green Technologies
The partnership between GRSE and DNV will focus on engineering cutting-edge warships and specialized maritime vessels, as well as developing green shipping solutions and environmentally sustainable marine technologies.
