HII Elevates Roger Kelly to VP of Contracts

HII has announced the promotion of Roger Kelly to vice president of contracts and pricing at its Newport News Shipbuilding division. This strategic move follows the appointment of Matt Mulherin Jr. as vice president of supply chain and strategic sourcing. Kelly will now oversee critical areas including contracts, pricing, and compliance related to export and import licensing.
Leadership Transition and Responsibilities
In his new role, Roger Kelly will report directly to Don Godwin, the vice president of business management and chief financial officer. Godwin expressed confidence in Kelly’s capabilities, stating, “I am confident Roger has the leadership, business and technical expertise required to lead impactful contract negotiations on behalf of our team.” He emphasized that Kelly is well-equipped to build on the strong foundation established by Mulherin in the contracts organization.
