Inaugural Splash Singapore Conference Set to Make Waves in Maritime Industry

The inaugural Splash Singapore conference is poised to become Asia’s premier shipping event, taking place on September 24 at the Fairmont Hotel. This new gathering builds on the success of the Maritime CEO Forum Singapore, which has run for eight editions. The event is organized by the team behind the shipping news platform Splash and the Geneva Dry bulk summit. With the support of the Singapore Maritime Foundation, the conference aims to attract a diverse audience of shipowners, ship managers, and charterers.

A notable lineup of speakers has been confirmed, including industry leaders such as Martin Fruergaard, CEO of Pacific Basin Shipping; Jeremy Sutton, CEO of Swire Shipping; Marina Hadjipateras, co-founder and general partner at TMV; and Willem Vermaat, shipping director at Heidelberg Materials Trading. They join a robust panel that features executives from major shipping companies like Norden, Hafnia, AET, Seanergy, and Western Bulk, alongside top charterers such as South32 and Vale.

Engaging Sessions and Topics on the Agenda

The conference will kick off with a session titled “Big Issues Hour,” setting the stage for discussions on critical topics affecting the maritime sector. Additional sessions will focus on tankers, dry bulk shipping, and the evolving landscape of maritime logistics. A highlight of the event is the session on “AI, Digitalisation, And The Maritime Workforce,” which is expected to draw significant interest from attendees eager to explore the intersection of technology and shipping.

Furthermore, the SplashTech Digital Leaders Forum will debut at this year’s conference, featuring a lineup of prominent figures in maritime technology. Organizers are set to announce the speakers for this session soon, promising insights into the latest innovations shaping the industry.

Sam Chambers, co-founder of the event, expressed optimism about the conference’s potential. “When we launched this event with the crucial help of the Singapore Maritime Foundation, the goal was simple, but a big ask – to make Splash Singapore Asia’s leading shipping conference. The calibre of panellists we’ve attracted alongside strong sponsor support and early delegate signups suggest we are on track to deliver this lofty aim,” he stated.

Registration for Splash Singapore is now open, priced at S$750. Attendees can also take advantage of special hotel room rates available for the event. The full agenda for the conference can be accessed through the official Splash Singapore website, where additional details about registration and accommodations are also provided.
