Arelion confirmed that the damage is not an isolated case; besides the Latvia-Lithuania cable, a Finland-Estonia link was also impacted, along with another cable between Estonia and Sweden that became non-operational on December 30. The damaged cable in question runs approximately 65 kilometers from Sventoji in Lithuania to Liepaja in Latvia, with the exact cause of the outages still under investigation.
