LR Awarded Contract for Royal Australian Navy Hunter Class Frigates

Lloyd’s Register (LR) has secured a significant contract from BAE Systems Maritime Australia (BAESMA) for providing Naval Classification New Construction Services for the initial three Royal Australian Navy Hunter class frigates.

Under the contract, LR will oversee the design and construction of the anti-submarine warfare frigates to ensure adherence to LR Rules and Regulations for the Classification of Naval Ships.

BAESMA and LR are dedicated to delivering the Hunter class frigates to the Commonwealth, enhancing the Royal Australian Navy’s operational capabilities at sea.
