Mitsui bares six new cruises

MOL Cruises Ltd., a subsidiary of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd. (MOL), is embarking on an exciting new chapter with the announcement of six inaugural cruises for the Mitsui Ocean Fuji.

Scheduled to debut in December 2024, these cruises will range from five to ten days in duration. They will depart from the Kanto, Chubu, and Kansai regions between December 1, 2024, and January 2025.

One of the highlights is the New Year Cruise, running from December 28, 2024, to January 8, 2025. This special voyage will immerse guests in the Japanese New Year atmosphere, featuring festive dishes and decor. The cruise will set sail from Yokohama and visit Jeju Island, Busan, Nagasaki, Beppu, and Hiroshima. Bookings for all cruises will open in July 2024.

Key features of the Mitsui Ocean Fuji include:

– Luxurious suites with balconies, full bathtubs, separate showers, and shower toilets

– Four dining venues offering a variety of international and local cuisines, a café, and in-room dining options

– Multiple bars, lounges, and entertainment venues

– A Spa & Wellness Center, two swimming pools, four whirlpools, and a recreation area

– A comprehensive shore excursion program to explore the best of each destination

– A special inaugural season gift for each guest

As part of its “Blue Action 2035” management plan, the MOL Group aims to diversify its portfolio to mitigate volatility in the commercial shipping markets. A key focus will be on expanding the cruise business, recognized as a stable and profitable sector. In addition to the Mitsui Ocean Fuji, the company plans to introduce a new cruise ship to enhance corporate value and fulfill the MOL Group Corporate Mission.
