MSC boss Soren Toft takes the chair at World Shipping
The World Shipping Council (WSC) has announced a significant leadership change. Soren Toft, the chief executive of the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), has been elected as the new chairman. Alongside him, Randy Chen, the vice chairman of Taiwanese container line Wan Hai, will serve as vice chair. This new leadership team will guide the WSC for the next two years, succeeding Rolf Habben Jansen of Hapag-Lloyd and Jeremy Nixon of Ocean Network Express (ONE), who have held the co-chair positions since November 2020.
