Nao Santa María & Pascual Flores are coming to Mallorca
Historic Ships Dock at Club de Mar

From April 11 to 20, 2025, Club de Mar in Palma de Mallorca will welcome two iconic vessels: the replica of the Nao Santa María, the ship that Christopher Columbus sailed during his historic voyage to America, and the historic schooner Pascual Flores. This exhibition not only marks the reopening of Club de Mar but also serves as a precursor to the 30th edition of the Illes Balears Clàssics regatta scheduled for August.
Explore the Nao Santa María and Pascual Flores
Visitors to Club de Mar will have the opportunity to tour both museum-ships during designated hours. For those seeking a more immersive experience, a three-hour sailing trip on the Pascual Flores is available, but advance reservations are required. Tickets can be purchased online at tickets.velacuadra.es or directly at the ships. The main entrance is accessible via the Paseo Marítimo, with public transportation recommended; the number 28 bus stop on line 1 is conveniently located nearby.
The Nao Santa María, Columbus’s flagship during his 1492 transatlantic journey, is a significant symbol of maritime history. The current replica, constructed between 2017 and 2018 in Punta Umbría, Huelva, closely mirrors the original dimensions, measuring 28.3 meters in length and weighing 200 tons. Its innovative design combines fiberglass and wooden coatings, incorporating modern navigation and safety systems to enhance the visitor experience.

The Legacy of the Pascual Flores
The Pascual Flores, built in 1917 at the Torrevieja shipyards, represents a remarkable piece of early 20th-century Mediterranean commercial navigation. After years of service transporting salt and agricultural products, the vessel was rescued from abandonment in England in 1999 by the Torrevieja City Council. Following a meticulous restoration in Galicia, it now serves as a valuable floating museum, preserving Spain’s rich maritime heritage.
Guests will be able to explore the decks and hold of both ships, gaining insights into their history and features through informative panels and guided tours. Reservations for the sailing experience on the Pascual Flores can be made via the official website or at the information point located next to the vessels.
