Naval Group and Nibe Group Sign MoU to Strengthen India’s Naval Shipbuilding
In a significant development for India’s naval shipbuilding capabilities, Naval Group from France and Nibe Limited, along with its group companies, have joined forces in a strategic partnership. Memorandum of Understanding Signed for Technological Cooperation
On September 18, 2026, Naval Group and Nibe Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize their partnership. This agreement sets the stage for cooperation in various technological areas related to modern naval technologies, shipbuilding, defense platforms, and autonomous systems.
The partnership will focus on key areas such as underwater drones, mine countermeasure vessels and systems, submarine systems and technologies, as well as naval weapon launching systems and their maintenance. The aim is to support India’s self-reliance in naval programs and advance indigenous capabilities as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
