NYK Hosts 21st Fleet Safety Meeting to Enhance Maritime Safety

Reinforcing Safety Measures Through Annual Campaign

The meeting, held at both the Tokyo head office and in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, is part of the Remember Naka-no-Se safety campaign, inspired by the Diamond Grace oil spill in Tokyo Bay in 1997. This initiative aims to promote safe operations and enhance safety awareness among officers, employees, and partners.

Collaborative Efforts for Sustainable Maritime Management

With a hybrid format combining in-person and online participation, the meeting saw the active involvement of 142 companies and over 410 participants from Japan and overseas. The NYK Group’s unwavering commitment to safety underscores its dedication to sustainable management through collaboration with stakeholders both at sea and on land.
