Pakistan Launches Construction of New Container Ship to Boost Maritime Capacity
Pakistan has officially commenced the construction of a new 1,100 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) container ship for the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) at Karachi Shipyard. This significant initiative, aimed at reducing dependence on foreign shipping lines, was inaugurated by Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry during a steel-cutting ceremony held on Tuesday.
