Perdana Petroleum Secures Key Offshore Contract

Perdana Petroleum, a prominent Malaysian marine support services provider, has landed a significant contract for the charter of an anchor handling tug and supply (AHTS) vessel. Awarded to its subsidiary, Perdana Nautika, the contract spans 120 days, although details regarding the client remain confidential. The vessel will support drilling rigs and offshore installations with a dedicated crew and equipment.

Contract Details and Operations

The recently awarded contract will see Perdana Nautika provide a comprehensive range of services, including 24-hour support for drilling operations, towing, and anchoring tasks. This arrangement underscores Perdana’s commitment to delivering reliable marine support in the offshore sector. The deal also includes an option for a 100-day extension, emphasizing the potential for continued collaboration, although the total value of the contract will be contingent upon the specific work orders issued.

Perdana Petroleum boasts a fleet of 14 offshore support vessels, of which five are specialized AHTS vessels. While the company has not disclosed which specific vessel will be deployed under this contract, the move reinforces its strong position in the offshore support services market.
