Positive feedback from cruise ship tourists
Cruise Season Brings Joy to Rarotonga
The Cook Islands welcomed its third cruise ship of the season on Friday, drawing hundreds of eager tourists to Rarotonga. This influx of visitors comes at a time when the islands typically see fewer travelers. The cruise season, which began in November, has already seen two ships dock, with the latest arrival offering a boost to the local economy and tourism sector.
Brad Kirner, the Director of Destination Development for Cook Islands Tourism, emphasized the importance of these cruise ship arrivals. He noted that they provide a significant economic boost during the quieter months from November to April. Kirner highlighted the long-standing relationship with Paul Gauguin Cruises, which has been a regular visitor to the islands for several years. This partnership has proven beneficial for both the cruise line and the Cook Islands, enhancing the overall tourism experience.
