Regent Seven Seas Launches New Luxury Cruise Ship
Regent Seven Seas Cruises (RSSC) has reached a significant milestone in the construction of its latest vessel, Seven Seas Prestige, which successfully floated from dry dock on November 27, 2025, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy. This ship marks the first new class for RSSC in a decade and signifies a new chapter in the company’s ultra-luxury cruise offerings.
Final Stages of Construction Underway
With the dry dock phase completed, Seven Seas Prestige has now moved to the outfitting pier for its final construction stages. The focus will shift to the ship’s interiors, which include luxurious suites like the Skyview Regent Suite, as well as lounges and dining venues. Scheduled to debut in December 2026, this vessel will be RSSC’s seventh ship and the first in a series of three Prestige-class vessels, with additional ships planned for 2030 and 2033.
Weighing in at 76,550 tons, Seven Seas Prestige is designed to accommodate 822 guests, supported by a crew of 630 members. This impressive crew-to-guest ratio is among the highest in the cruise industry. Notably, the ship is 40 percent larger than previous RSSC vessels while only carrying 10 percent more guests, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to spaciousness and comfort.
