Seafarer: The Ship Sim Launches for Early Access

Germany’s Astragon Entertainment has announced that the highly anticipated early access for Seafarer: The Ship Sim will begin on October 7. Gamers can look forward to this immersive maritime experience on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Often compared to Microsoft Flight Simulator, this title is set to offer an expansive open world filled with realistic ports, cities, and stunning landscapes powered by Unreal Engine 5 and NVIDIA’s WaveWorks 2.0.

Embark on Diverse Maritime Careers

Seafarer: The Ship Sim invites players to explore a variety of maritime professions, from a harbour tug master to an ocean-going cargo captain. Players will engage in essential activities such as transporting goods, responding to emergencies, and navigating through challenging storms. The game features both a story-driven campaign and a quickplay mode, allowing for varied gameplay experiences. Additionally, a character editor enables players to create personalized captains tailored to their liking.

The developers have emphasized their commitment to realism, incorporating lifelike wave simulations and dynamic weather patterns to enhance the gaming experience. Players can expect to encounter a diverse fleet ranging from small workboats to large container ships, each designed to provide an authentic seafaring adventure. From sunrises glistening over tranquil waters to the chaos of stormy seas, the dynamic wave and weather simulation makes every voyage unique.” This commitment to detail ensures that players will experience the unpredictability and excitement of life at sea.
