Recent reports indicate that Singfar Group has entered into a deal with CSSC Guangzhou Wenchong Shipbuilding. This agreement involves the construction of two LNG bunker vessels, each with a capacity of 20,000 cubic meters. Additionally, there is an option for two more vessels, which could further bolster the company’s fleet. The firmed-up vessels are expected to be delivered starting in August 2027. However, the financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
The choice of CSSC Guangzhou Wenchong Shipbuilding is significant. This shipyard is known for its expertise in building high-quality vessels. Furthermore, Singfar has secured a pair of 115,000 dwt Aframax tankers from New Times Shipbuilding, with deliveries scheduled for 2027. These vessels will be fixed to Malaysian tanker player AET, indicating a strategic partnership in the region.
Moreover, Singfar is also set to receive a 6,700 dwt bunker vessel from Lianyungang Shenghua next year. This diverse portfolio of newbuilds showcases Singfar’s proactive approach to meeting the evolving demands of the shipping industry.
