Subsea 7 Secures Major West Africa Contract

Subsea 7, a prominent player in offshore engineering and services, has announced its third contract award in a span of just three days, this time targeting West Africa. The contract involves the transportation and installation of flexible pipelines, umbilicals, and related subsea components for connecting an FPSO vessel. Additionally, pre-laying activities for an upcoming drilling campaign will also be conducted under this contract.

Details of the Contract

Subsea 7 will kick off project management and engineering tasks immediately at its offices in the UK and France. Offshore operations are projected to commence in 2026, marking a significant timeline for the project. The client for this contract has not been disclosed. However, Subsea 7 has indicated that the contract represents a substantial financial commitment, falling within the range of $50 million to $150 million.

This latest award follows two major contracts secured by Subsea 7 in recent days. Just yesterday, the company entered into an Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) agreement with Petrobras for the Búzios 11 project, valued at approximately $1.5 billion. Additionally, ConocoPhillips awarded Subsea 7 a Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contract for the Previously Produced Fields development project located off the coast of Norway. These rapid successes underscore Subsea 7’s growing influence and capability in the offshore energy sector.
