The Role of CCS in Promoting Sustainable Shipping
On June 19, Ms. H.E. Frances Galatia Lanitou Williams, the Ambassador of Cyprus to China, along with her delegation and Mr. Marios Stavrou, Deputy Director of the Embassy of Cyprus in China, visited the China Classification Society (CCS).
During the visit, both parties reflected on their longstanding friendly relations and cooperation. They engaged in in-depth discussions on current shipping issues, focusing on development, green technology, intelligent technology, and technological innovation. Ambassador Frances Lanitou commended CCS’s technological capabilities and recent advancements in business scale development and green intelligence. Both sides expressed a commitment to strengthening communication and further promoting exchanges and cooperation within the shipping industry.
The meeting was attended by Zhao Yali, Vice Chairman of the China National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation and former Chinese Ambassador to Cyprus, Cai Yanxian, Vice President of CCS, Wang Hongwei, Vice President of CCS, and other relevant personnel from the International Affairs Department.
