V. Partners with Silk Searoad Maritime for Fleet Management

V., a leading global ship manager and marine services provider, has announced a strategic partnership with Greek shipowner Silk Searoad Maritime S.A. This collaboration focuses on the technical management of Silk Searoad’s fleet, which consists of eight vessels, including five bulk carriers and three tankers. The partnership aims to enhance safety, fleet performance, and cost efficiency, enabling Silk Searoad to better meet the evolving demands of its customers.

Under this agreement, V. will take charge of the long-term management and operational performance of Silk Searoad’s vessels. The support from V. will encompass daily operations, emphasizing improved working conditions for the crew through robust safety and welfare policies. Additionally, V. will implement proactive maintenance planning and standardize processes across the fleet. This comprehensive management approach is designed to optimize vessel performance and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Silk Searoad will also gain access to a range of marine services offered by V., including Marcas, a contracting association that leverages collective purchasing power to secure competitive terms for goods and services. This partnership is expected to provide Silk Searoad with significant advantages in operational efficiency and cost management.

Expertise and Experience at the Helm

The vessels under this partnership will be managed from V.’s office in Greece, where V.Ships Greece boasts over 30 years of experience in ship management. As the first and largest company to offer third-party ship management services in Greece, V. is well-positioned to support Silk Searoad’s growth ambitions.
