Yanmar Energy System to Acquire TEDOM Group in Strategic Energy Sector Move
Yanmar Energy System Co., Ltd. has announced an agreement to acquire TEDOM Group, a prominent provider of cogeneration solutions, through a share purchase agreement signed on September 4, 2024. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval, with TEDOM expected to become part of Yanmar Group upon completion. This acquisition strengthens Yanmar’s position in the energy sector, expanding its global reach and expertise in decentralized energy systems.
TEDOM Group, known for manufacturing cogeneration units and providing comprehensive energy solutions, operates across multiple countries including the Czech Republic, Germany, and the United States. With around 1,000 employees, TEDOM is projected to generate EUR 315 million in revenue for 2024. The acquisition aligns with Yanmar’s vision of combining its innovative technologies with TEDOM’s strong industry presence to offer greater value to customers worldwide.

Jet Investment, based in the Czech Republic, has been managing TEDOM alongside other industrial investments in Central Europe. Yanmar, with a history dating back to 1912, continues to be a global leader in diesel engine technology and diversified industrial equipment.
