Yanmar Completes Acquisition of Czech Energy Leader TEDOM

Prague, Czechia (November 19, 2024)Yanmar Energy System Co., Ltd., a company under Yanmar Holdings, has finalized its purchase of TEDOM, a leading manufacturer of cogeneration systems based in Czechia. The acquisition officially took effect on November 1, following approval from regulators. TEDOM’s previous owner, Jet Investment, agreed to sell the company to Yanmar on September 4, marking a significant step in Yanmar’s global expansion plans. The financial details of the deal have not been revealed.

TEDOM’s Strong Legacy
Since its founding in the 1990s, TEDOM has gained worldwide recognition for its innovative cogeneration systems, which produce both electricity and heat. Recently, the company has gone beyond traditional engineering to focus on sustainable energy solutions and services, such as decentralized power systems. In 2024, TEDOM made a big move by acquiring Italy’s Intergen, further strengthening its position in the energy market. The company has also achieved record sales of cogeneration units and is now the fastest-growing supplier in its sector, based on customer numbers.
