Captain Subramaniam Takes Over as Fleet Management’s New CEO

Fleet Management Limited, part of the Caravel Group, has chosen Captain Rajalingam Subramaniam as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He joined the company in October 2024 as “CEO Elect” and will officially step into the role on January 1, 2025.

Captain Subramaniam will report directly to Dr. Harry S. Banga, who is the Chairman and CEO of the Caravel Group. He is taking over from Dr. Kishore Rajvanshy, the founding Managing Director of Fleet Management.

Dr. Rajvanshy’s 30 Years of Leadership

Dr. Rajvanshy has led Fleet Management since it was founded three decades ago. Under his leadership, the company has grown to become the world’s second-largest third-party ship management company. Although he is stepping down from his current role, he will remain involved in the company as Managing Director Emeritus and Non-Executive Director. In this new position, Dr. Rajvanshy will continue to offer advice and guidance.

Captain Subramaniam’s Strong Background

Captain Subramaniam brings extensive maritime experience and business skills to Fleet Management. With a career that began at sea, he earned the title of Master Mariner and gained hands-on seafaring experience. Later, he became the President and Group CEO of MISC Group, where he played a key role in strengthening the company’s position in the global shipping and offshore industry.

With Captain Subramaniam leading the way, Fleet Management is expected to continue expanding and strengthening its position as a major player in the global maritime industry. His combination of seafaring expertise and business leadership makes him well-suited for the job.
