Now in its fifth year, the Safe Bulkers Scholarship Programme continues to expand its reach and impact. The program recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional ethics, consistency, and academic performance. This year, the ceremony was graced by notable attendees, including Zoe Polydorou, the first education officer and district inspector of Limassol, Yiannis Armeftis, the Mayor of Limassol, and Yiannis Tsouloftas, head of the Limassol EOA.
Safe Bulkers Positions for Recovery with $650M Fleet Renewal Strategy
For the 2025–2026 academic year, ten deserving students were selected through a stringent evaluation process that assessed both academic and social criteria. Each scholarship recipient was awarded €10,000, which will aid them in their undergraduate or postgraduate studies at prestigious universities in Greece and abroad. The fields of study covered by the scholarships include Naval Architecture and Ship Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Informatics, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Maritime Law, and Shipping, Trade and Finance.
This initiative aligns with Safe Bulkers’ Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) principles, highlighting the company’s dedication to fostering education and youth development.
