Bulk Carrier Alfaisaliah Runs Aground in Turkey’s Sea of Marmara

On December 20, the bulk carrier *Alfaisaliah*, measuring 225 meters in length and weighing 76,623 deadweight tons, ran aground in the Ahırkapı Anchorage Zone of the Sea of Marmara, Turkey. The vessel was en route from Istanbul to Egypt when the incident occurred. In response to the grounding, Turkish authorities quickly mobilized resources, including a search and rescue vessel and two tugboats, to assist in the situation. Additionally, a team of divers has been sent to assess the situation further and provide any necessary assistance.
