Austal Australia Delivers Seventh Evolved Cape-Class Patrol Boat to Royal Australian Navy

Austal Limited (ASX: ASB) is proud to announce the delivery of the seventh Evolved Cape-class Patrol Boat (ECCPB), ADV Cape Solander, to the Royal Australian Navy. This marks a significant milestone in the contract for ten vessels. The official handover occurred at Austal’s Henderson, Western Australia shipyard, with Austal Limited CEO Paddy Gregg highlighting the achievement and the collaborative efforts involved.

The Evolved Cape-class Patrol Boats, including ADV Cape Solander, feature enhanced amenities, advanced sustainment systems, and improved quality of life measures for up to 32 personnel. These vessels are essential assets for a variety of naval missions, contributing significantly to Australia’s national security. Austal continues to deliver these high-performing maritime assets, with the eighth vessel, ADV Cape Schanck, scheduled for delivery later in 2024, and two more under construction.

Austal Australia provides in-service support for the Cape, Evolved Cape, and Guardian-class Patrol Boats through service centres in Henderson, Cairns, and Darwin. Additionally, Austal is contracted to deliver 24 steel Guardian-class Patrol Boats under the Pacific Patrol Boat Replacement Project, with 20 vessels already delivered since 2018.
