Carbon Clean signs agreement with Julius Montz
Carbon Clean Teams Up with Julius Montz for Easier, Faster Carbon Capture
Carbon Clean, a leader in carbon capture technology, has announced a new partnership with Julius Montz (Montz), a German company owned by Koch Engineered Solutions (KES). This partnership is a major step towards making Carbon Clean’s CycloneCC technology widely available and ready for the market. The deal will secure a strong supply chain for Carbon Clean’s innovative carbon capture solutions, which aim to help industries reduce carbon emissions.
Making Carbon Capture Simpler
The main focus of the agreement is to ensure a reliable supply of key parts for CycloneCC, Carbon Clean’s latest carbon capture technology. Montz will provide the special metal packing that goes into the rotating packed beds (RPBs) used in CycloneCC. This metal packing plays a crucial role in how the technology works. When CO2 emissions pass through the RPBs, the spinning motion boosts the absorption process, making it more efficient. This helps Carbon Clean’s own APBS-CDRMax solvent capture CO2 better and faster.
Montz will not only supply these important parts but will also work closely with Carbon Clean’s Research and Development team. Together, they will keep improving the CycloneCC design to match the needs of the growing carbon capture market.

A Big Step Toward Global Carbon Capture
Carbon Clean’s partnership with Montz marks a huge milestone in the company’s journey. With this agreement, Carbon Clean gains access to Koch Engineered Solutions’ vast resources and global facilities, allowing them to explore new ways to improve and scale up the CycloneCC technology.
According to Aniruddha Sharma, Chair and CEO of Carbon Clean, “Signing this agreement with Montz completes the final piece of the puzzle for our CycloneCC supply chain. It’s a big step toward full commercialisation of our product, speeding up the global use of industrial carbon capture. Montz’s expertise, along with Koch’s worldwide reach, gives Carbon Clean a strong position to deliver at scale. This shows our customers, partners, and investors that we are ready to meet the growing demand for CycloneCC.”
A Partnership for the Future
Sairam Potaraju, Managing Director at Julius Montz, expressed excitement about the partnership: “This is a win-win deal not only for KES and Carbon Clean but also for our customers. We aim to make carbon capture technology affordable, modular, and easy to scale. This agreement aligns with our goal of applying our strengths to impactful and groundbreaking technologies. We are thrilled to continue this journey with Carbon Clean.”
Making Carbon Capture Easier to Deploy
The packing technology will be produced in Hilden, Germany, and will be distributed through Koch Engineered Solutions’ global network. This setup allows for quick and easy delivery of parts, speeding up installation times. The CycloneCC unit itself is built with a simple, modular design that makes it easy to transport and install. It’s prefabricated and can be delivered in sections, making it flexible for different industrial sites.
What’s Next for Carbon Clean?
With this new agreement, Carbon Clean is ready to take on the challenge of scaling up its carbon capture solutions. The CycloneCC technology is set to help industries all over the world capture carbon emissions efficiently, quickly, and at a lower cost. The partnership with Montz and the backing of Koch Engineered Solutions will allow Carbon Clean to meet the rising demand for easy-to-deploy carbon capture systems.
