ClassNK major updates GHG Emissions Management Tool “ClassNK ZETA”
- supporting preparation for FuelEU Maritime and usability improvement -
Tokyo – ClassNK has introduced a new feature for its GHG Emissions Management Tool, “ClassNK ZETA (Zero Emission Transition Accelerator),” focusing on FuelEU Maritime
Alongside this addition, we have significantly improved the tool’s usability and ease of use.
ClassNK ZETA, which visualizes GHG emissions and CII ratings of ships while supporting EU-ETS management, is currently utilized by over 5,500 ships.
The newly released FuelEU Maritime feature, effective from 2025, includes the following capabilities:
- Monitoring fuel oil consumption, energy use, GHG emissions, and GHG intensity for entire fleets and individual ships under FuelEU Maritime.
- Checking compliance balance surplus/deficit and managing banking, borrowing, and pooling.
Additionally, ClassNK plans to introduce a feature to optimize fleet compliance balance using banking, borrowing, and pooling.
This update also brings major usability improvements. The consolidation of features and enhancements in usability and visibility make the tool more intuitive and convenient to use.
