Ha Long Shipbuilding Company Limited Launches Advanced 45,000-Ton Bulk Cargo Ship
Last Week, Ha Long Shipbuilding Company Limited achieved a significant milestone in the Vietnamese maritime industry with the successful launch of the Truong Minh Dream 05 (IMO No: 9976989) , a 45,000-ton bulk carrier. The launch event took place in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh province, marking a proud moment for the country’s shipbuilding sector. Registered owner for the vessel is Truong Minh International JSC.
The Truong Minh Dream 05 was meticulously designed by the Vietnam Shipbuilding Engineering Joint Stock Company (VISEC) in collaboration with Bluetech Company from Finland, ensuring the ship meets the highest standards in modern shipbuilding.
The vessel is a single-side double-bottom bulk carrier, equipped with a diesel engine and a single propeller. Its dimensions are impressive, boasting a maximum length of 185 meters, a width of 31 meters, and a height of 16 meters. The ship’s load capacity reaches an astounding 45,000 Deadweight Tonnage (DWT), making it a significant addition to Vietnam’s shipping fleet.
Throughout its construction, the ship underwent rigorous supervision by both the investor, Dong Bac Shipbuilding Industry Joint Stock Company, and Lloyds Register, ensuring that every aspect of the vessel met international standards for new steel-hulled ships.
Notable features of the Truong Minh Dream 05 include its superior resistance to harsh maritime conditions, enhanced fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions. These advancements are a result of innovative engineering that optimizes the ship’s weight, allowing for greater efficiency and sustainability.
