MOL Showcases Next-Generation Zero-Emission Vessel at Expo 2025 Osaka

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) provided a preview of its innovative exhibit for the upcoming “Future Life Expo: Future City” at the 2025 World Exposition in Osaka, Kansai, Japan. The exhibit, part of the “Future Society Showcase” within the “Transportation and Mobility” zone, will feature MOL’s cutting-edge zero-emission vessel, “Wind Hunter.” This vessel harnesses wind energy to produce and transport hydrogen, highlighting MOL’s vision for sustainable maritime transport under the theme “WIND VISION.”

‘It’s time to set the record straight’ – women’s contributions to maritime history celebrated with the SHE_SEES exhibition

The exhibition will combine a large, movable model of the Wind Hunter with an original video displayed on a big screen. This interactive setup aims to illustrate the transformative power of wind energy in shaping daily life, industry, and social change. The exhibit promises to immerse visitors in a dynamic experience that showcases the vessel’s potential to revolutionize marine transport.

In collaboration with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., the exhibit will offer a hands-on experience that challenges traditional concepts of vessels and marine transport. By engaging with these interactive displays, visitors will gain a deeper appreciation for the role of oceans in the global environment and be inspired to envision new possibilities for the future of mobility and sustainability.
