Transworld forms handy pool in Dubai
Transworld Shipping Lines Partners with BainBridge for Dubai Bulker Pool

Transworld Shipping Lines, previously known as Shreyas Shipping and Logistics, has entered into a strategic joint venture with BainBridge Navigation. This partnership, where Transworld holds a 60% stake, aims to create a handysize bulker pool headquartered in Dubai, signaling a significant expansion in their operational capabilities.
Growing Fleet and Expansion Plans
Transworld Shipping Lines currently operates a fleet of 12 vessels, which includes 10 container feeder ships and two handysize bulk carriers. This recent joint venture marks a notable shift in the company’s strategy, as they look to enhance their presence in the bulker segment. Historically, Transworld has explored similar ventures, having previously participated in the Hanseatic Unity Handysize Pool four years ago. However, that engagement was short-lived, suggesting that the company is now looking to establish a more sustainable and robust presence in the market.
Founded in 1988, Transworld Shipping Lines has been a pioneer in India’s coastal shipping industry. Over the years, the company has developed a reputation for reliability and efficiency. With the new partnership, Transworld aims to capitalize on the growing demand for bulk shipping services in the region. The establishment of this bulker pool is expected to provide additional operational flexibility and bolster their competitive positioning within the global shipping industry.
As Transworld Shipping Lines embarks on this new venture, industry stakeholders will be watching closely to see how this partnership unfolds and the potential impact it may have on the regional shipping landscape.
