AKOFS Offshore, a leading provider of subsea well construction and intervention services, has clinched a significant contract with Brazilian state-owned energy giant Petrobras. The deal involves the use of the AKOFS Santos, a multipurpose service vessel (MPSV), and is set to commence in the third quarter of 2026, pending final agreement. The contract has a total gross value of $246 million, with an estimated $141 million expected to contribute to AKOFS Offshore’s revenue.

Contract Details and Future Operations

The contract awarded to AKOFS Offshore will extend the operational period of the AKOFS Santos, previously known as the Skandi Santos, until the third quarter of 2030. This extension builds on the vessel’s current engagement with Petrobras, ensuring continued collaboration between the two companies. The MPSV is designed for various operational tasks, including well construction and intervention, which are critical for maintaining and enhancing offshore oil production.
