Aman’s Luxurious 47-Suite Cruise Ship Is Expected to Hit the Seas in 2027
Aman Unveils Plans for Luxury Yacht Amangati

Aman, the renowned hospitality brand, is set to make waves in the luxury travel sector with the launch of its first yacht, Amangati, scheduled for spring 2027. This ambitious project follows the successful keel laying ceremony in July 2022 and the vessel’s official christening in April 2023. With a commitment to privacy and exclusivity, Amangati promises to redefine luxury cruising with its unique design and top-notch amenities.
Design and Amenities of Amangati
Spanning an impressive 600 feet, Amangati features only 47 suites, ensuring an intimate experience for guests. The yacht’s design, crafted by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, draws inspiration from traditional Japanese ryokan architecture, characterized by clean lines and minimalist decor. Each suite boasts floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious balconies, providing an airy atmosphere and stunning views.
Guests aboard Amangati can expect a wealth of hotel-like amenities, including four international restaurants, a jazz club, and a signature Aman Spa complete with a Japanese garden. A standout feature is the expansive beach club located at the stern, offering direct access to the water for a seamless ocean experience. Aman Chairman and CEO Vlad Doronin emphasized the brand’s commitment to delivering exceptional service and privacy, stating that the yacht will embody the essence of Aman’s renowned hospitality.
Sustainability and Future Prospects
Amangati is not only designed for luxury but also for sustainability. The yacht will feature a hybrid propulsion system that utilizes battery power, significantly reducing emissions compared to traditional diesel-powered cruise ships. This initiative aligns with Aman’s broader sustainability strategy, aiming to minimize the environmental impact of its operations.
The yacht is currently under construction at the T.Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy, and will be available for private charter upon its launch. Aman is not alone in this venture; other luxury hotel brands like Ritz-Carlton, Belmond, Four Seasons, and Orient Express are also entering the marine industry, offering travelers a variety of high-end cruising options.
As the launch date approaches, Amangati is poised to become a floating sanctuary, merging the tranquility of Aman’s land-based resorts with the allure of the open sea.
