Solstad Maritime Secures $50M in New Contracts

Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Maritime has successfully secured a series of lucrative contracts, enhancing its fleet’s operational capacity. These agreements, valued at approximately $50 million, encompass around 700 vessel days of firm work spread across the Asia-Pacific and Mediterranean regions. The company’s latest endeavors underscore its strategic positioning in the offshore support market.
Asia-Pacific Operations
In the Asia-Pacific region, Solstad Maritime has secured contracts for its anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels, Normand Saracen and Normand Scorpion. Both vessels have been chartered to an undisclosed operator for a total of 516 firm days, with an additional 358 days available as options. These contracts are set to commence in the first quarter of 2026. Additionally, the Normand Scorpion has landed two short-term assignments with tier-one Engineering, Procurement, Installation, and Commissioning (EPIC) contractors. These projects focus on subsea installation campaigns, which are scheduled to begin in December and are expected to last for up to two months.

European Ventures
Solstad Maritime is also expanding its presence in Europe, particularly in the Mediterranean Sea. The construction support vessel Normand Sapphire has commenced immediate operations with an unnamed operator for a solid 60-day contract, with options for extension. Furthermore, the Normand Baltic has had its existing contract extended until the end of 2025, contributing an additional 100 firm days along with more options for future work. These developments reflect Solstad’s ongoing commitment to providing dependable offshore support services in dynamic maritime environments.
