Dajin Offshore Secures $13.1 Million Wind Project Contract

Dajin Offshore has announced a significant contract worth $13.1 million with Poland’s Szczecin Shipyard Wulkan to produce at least 40 internal platform sets for the Nordseecluster B offshore wind project in the German North Sea. This collaboration marks a crucial step in enhancing industrial cooperation within the European offshore wind supply chain. Production is set to commence at the end of February 2026, with an estimated 200 personnel involved in various capacities at the shipyard and its vicinity.

Strengthening European Offshore Wind Supply Chain

Dajin Offshore, recognized as China’s largest private manufacturer of offshore wind foundations, is expanding its footprint in the European market through this partnership. The agreement with Szczecin Shipyard Wulkan, which is owned by the Polish State Treasury, aims to bolster industrial collaboration within the offshore wind sector. The shipyard, strategically located on a 45-hectare site along the Oder River, is equipped with infrastructure tailored for large-scale steel structures and is positioning offshore wind as a key area for growth.

The Nordseecluster project, a joint venture between RWE and Norges Bank Investment Management, is situated approximately 50 kilometers north of the island of Juist in Germany’s Exclusive Economic Zone. With a planned capacity of up to 1.6 gigawatts, the project is expected to generate renewable electricity sufficient to power around 1.6 million German homes. The development will unfold in two phases, with Nordseecluster B anticipated to commence commercial operations by early 2029.

Strengthening local competencies today will support the development of the supply chain for future Polish wind farms.” This initiative not only highlights Dajin Offshore’s strategic growth but also reflects the increasing integration of global players in the European renewable energy landscape.
