Construction crews have successfully placed the final structural beam on Saronic Technologies’ impressive $300 million shipyard expansion project in Franklin. The expansion, led by a joint venture between JE Dunn Construction and Alberici Constructors Inc., is set to significantly increase the company’s existing facility by adding over 300,000 square feet.

The expansion project includes the addition of three new slips, increased warehouse capacity, and the establishment of a dedicated production line for Saronic’s 180-foot Marauder autonomous ships. Commencing in November 2025, the construction is on track for completion in early 2027.
